Dear All,

Well i thought I would update you with my good news!!!

I attended DLA and ESA tribunal on Tuesday. This was when I was on long term sick leave last year and the Atos medical said i was fit for work when i had been signed off by my GP and Consultant.

Well I received a call yesterday from my welfare rights person to say that my DLA appeal has been accepted and going to backdated to March 2010 High Rate Mobility and Low Rate Care, Also the ESA that I was being paid £65 - I should have been paid more so that is going to be backdated upto when my ESA ended in September lat year.

I really cannot believe it, i didnt think i did well, and the people on the panel must have to be like that.

i am over the moon, with everything else that is going on at the moment, its about time i had some good news.

So i would definitley say appeal and attend the tribunal.......

Michelle xx

Well done you Michelle for sticking it out! We shouldn't be put into these positions with all the added stress etc. it brings with it. But just goes to show it can pay off!

Make sure when the dosh comes through the first thing you do is treat yourself ThumpUp

What a superb result - and well deserved. As Lyn said, we shouldn't have to appeal but I am so pleased for you.

Well done Michelle, congratulations, like others have said we shouldn't have to go through all that, but at least you've now got the right result.

well done! It's a bloody nuisance to have to go through it. I found the experience horrendous, but well worth it in the end.
